Vandall to run for Summers County assessor

Greg Vandall has announced his candidacy for assessor of Summers County.

Vandall is a native of Summers County and a graduate of Hinton High School and Concord College with a B.S. degree in management.

He has been employed by Twin State Corp. in Hilldale for 20 years, working with the public daily as a sales consultant. In this position, he has learned the importance of being trustworthy, dependable and fair.

Community involvement has always been very important to Vandall. He is serving on the Bluestone Dam Safety Assurance, Dickie Noel Scholarship Committee, Summers County Sustainable Communities, Hinton Zoning Board and a member of the Hinton Elks Lodge.

He has coached girls basketball and softball for seven years and continues to assist with high school football and basketball programs.

If elected, Vandall says he would like to bring the same teamwork concept to the assessor’s office and work with the other offices of the courthouse and with all local and state agencies to better serve the residents of Summers County.

He is dedicated to serving others and giving back to the community that has given him so much.

He says he feels his experience of working with the public and his degree in management qualify him for the full-time position of Summers County assessor.
