A 49-year-old Beckley man who allegedly stabbed his wife multiple times in their home in October was one of 102 defendants indicted this week by a Raleigh County grand jury.
Ronald Keith Legg is charged with attempted first-degree murder and malicious wounding in the Oct. 21 incident. Legg fled the scene and was apprehended several days later.
Also indicted was 34-year-old Thomas Anthony McComas of Conover, N.C., who is charged with fleeing under the influence of alcohol as well as driving under the influence of alcohol causing death.
McComas’ indictment stems from a September accident, during which he, while intoxicated, allegedly fled from police and crashed his pickup truck, killing his passenger, Michael George Atkinson, 36, of Soak Creek.
The individuals listed below must report to the Raleigh County Courthouse, Courtroom B, at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, to answer indictments before Judge H.L. Kirkpatrick. Each individual charged should appear with his or her attorney.
