Local pro-life group could use your help

About 3.4 of every 1,000 infants born in a hospital in 2009 suffered from a type of drug withdrawal from narcotic pain medications, according to The Journal of the American Medical Association. That’s about 13,539 infants a year, or one drug-addicted baby born every hour.

In 2008 there were 1.2 million abortions, 137 every hour. There is no comparison.

I agree that we all need to hug the “border babies.” That’s precisely why our group is here, to join with like-minded individuals, and determine the area of the pro-life battle you are best equipped for.

There are multiple areas where we could use your help. Perhaps visit a young unwed mother, perhaps silently pray on the sidewalk at one of the abortion clinics (that your tax dollars pay for), or talk with teens in your local school about the consequences of premarital sex.

There are many things that we can do to help stop this war on women. So, our meetings and rallies are just a start, to educate people of the truth of Infanticide.

No war was ever won without a plan.

The problem is not solved with the tearing apart of a human and putting it in the trash. We live in a time where citizens are not held accountable to their actions (unprotected sex = pregnancy = a life). A mother cannot abort her baby and simply expect she is magically cured. The real problems, mental and physical, begin that day for her. Not to mention dismemberment and death of her baby.

The solution is education (sexual education and fetal development at the appropriate age and mental development of our children), moral values enforced in our homes, and basic, stable and loving involvement in our children’s lives.

I pray that the majority does not have your view of “minding our own matters and staying out of other people’s matters, this world would be a better place.”

Sir, according to you, it’s OK to look away. I cannot look away and close my ears to the silent screams of the unborn.

Will you be the first, as an old man who has been mugged on a street to condemn those who won’t help you? What if we all looked away? What if we said, he’s an old man, a burden to society, a leech on Social Security, he has no use here, let him die. Is that the world you want to live in? I didn’t think so. Life is precious, not to be thrown away like drive-thru trash. Our values as humans toward each other make me ashamed. God help us to fight for His creation, the young and old, the addicted, the mentally challenged ... all life.
