Thanks for supporting Little Black Dress

The Women’s Resource Center’s Little Black Dress “for the girls” fundraising event was held Aug. 16 at Daniel Vineyards. What a wonderful evening it was!

We hosted one of the largest crowds ever for one of our girls night out events. The success of this important fundraising event for WRC is shared by many, and we would like to take a moment to say thank you.

From our over 200 attendees, to our sponsors and the people and businesses who donated services and items to the event — we are so grateful for your generosity. It took each of you to make our Little Black Dress event a success.

Thanks to you, we were able to raise over $11,000. In a time when grant funding is continually decreasing, fundraising events like Little Black Dress are vital to the existence of our organization and the victims we are committed to serve.

It is only with support from our communities that Women’s Resource Center is able to continue to provide free, confidential services to victims of domestic and sexual violence in Raleigh, Fayette, Nicholas and Summers counties. Your support and generosity are never taken for granted.

Lastly, we want to thank the Women’s Resource Center board of directors, volunteers, supporters and, in particular, the WRC fundraising committee members. WRC is blessed with an amazing group of dedicated individuals committed to helping us end domestic and sexual violence.

Thank you again for your support of the difficult work we do each day.

Dee Sizemore and staff of Women’s Resource Center
