Greenbrier voters must reject school bond levy

On Oct. 5, the voters of Greenbrier County have a opportunity to lower their property taxes by voting against the school bond (levy).

I think it is time we start to take steps to give ourselves some relief from being taxed into poverty. One must remember that the school system has been getting an increase in money because of the property reappraisal.

Before you vote, ask yourself this question: How long has it been since the government did something that was good for me?

U.S. Senate seat is not a lifetime job

I have been watching the news and the people in the United States better get their heads out of the sand.

Every state knows who they got in the Senate. If they can’t talk to each other, send them home and stop their checks. Let them see if they can find a job. They have been sitting on their (butts) doing nothing too long.

We need to be able to take them out anytime we want to fix it, so it’s not a lifetime job unless you do what the people want.

Is Obama lying about his health care plan?

Yesterday, I heard Barack Hussein Obama say that with his health plan, I could get health coverage for less than my cell phone bill. Considering that I am paying more than $400 a month for health coverage now, and my cell phone bill is $30, that makes me very, very happy! I can’t wait to switch over!

He must be some sort of magician to do that, or, maybe, he is just so smart that he devised a way, or ... wait, he wouldn’t be lying, again, would he?
