Continued rise of strife among family

There is a disturbing trend in our society today that was predicted in the Bible over 2,000 years ago. It’s the continued rise of strife among family and friends that Jesus said would be a sign of his coming.

Families are in conflict — not talking to each other, holding resentment. Matthew 24:16 says “And then shall many be offended and shall betray one another and hate one another.” Jesus speaks of this family division in Luke 12:51-53.

Beware of falling into this trap for the Bible says “But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses” (Matt. 11:26).

I can’t make somebody forgive me, but I can stop myself from carrying unforgiveness in my heart that will send me to hell.

Don’t be a “hater,” because if you take that to your grave, God will surely make you answer for your actions.

SSHS baseball golf outing was a success

The 2012-2013 Shady Spring High School Baseball Boosters Club would like to thank those who helped make our annual golf tournament fundraiser a huge success. The event brought golfers together for a day of fun and fellowship while helping to sponsor SSHS Baseball.

We would like to thank our generous business and individual donors who helped in any way. Through the support of the annual golf outing at Grandview Country Club we will help our young athletes pursue their dream of playing competitive high school baseball.
