Unborn babies are human, loved by God



It’s sad to think some people won’t admit this, but there are several passages in the Bible that say God sees unborn and born children equally important. After all, being unborn in the womb is how we all started out. But you know the old Frank Sinatra song “You’re Nobody ’Til Somebody Loves You”? Well, God loves us, all of us, especially the innocent unborn.

Matthew 1:23 “Behold the virgin shall be with child and bear a son.” The Lord’s body developed in his mother’s body for a full nine months, showing that Jesus began as an embryo.

Jacob and Esau, fraternal twins, are called “children” in Scriptures, still in the womb. And children in the womb suck their thumbs, play with their toes, sleep, dream, learn their mother’s voice. It’s proven.

Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you and set you apart.”

Luke 1:15 “When Elizabeth heard Mary’s voice, the baby in her womb leaped for joy.”

Psalm 139:13-15 “For you, God, created my inmost being, you knit me in my mother’s womb and frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place.”

The first fetal homicide law is Exodus 21-23. Read it! The Bible doesn’t lie. The Lord does not consider the unborn to be of less worth than born ones. This passage makes it clear that all life is precious. According to the Bible, abortion is first degree murder.

Psalm 127:3 “Behold, children are a blessing from the Lord. The fruit of the womb is a reward. Like armies in the land of the warrior, so are the children of one’s youth.”

Proverbs 6:16 “The Lord hates hands that shed innocent blood.”

Job 10:8-12. Read this one! Job knew that God formed him from conception, and blessed him in his life.
