CYAC ready to begin 10 years of service

Child and Youth Advocacy Center has served children and families in Greenbrier, Monroe and Pocahontas counties for nine years now.

In 2013, CYAC has made great strides to work with fellow agencies and our multi-disciplinary partners to investigate allegations as well as provide therapy and advocacy to families.

CYAC served 245 children in our area last year, provided 439 hours of therapy, and 407 hours of victims advocacy.

Other highlights of 2013 include being named “Outstanding Child Advocacy Center of the Year” by the U.S. Attorney — Southern WV District’s Office, numerous appearances in local media to increase awareness of the issues and the 2013 Polar Bear Plunge included records in attendance, participants and donations raised.

CYAC would like to thank everyone in the communities we serve for their continued support as we go into our 10th year.
