Thanks for help making miracles

Chief Chaplain Craig Dorsey and I would like to extend our appreciation to Chief Jeff Pittman, Sophia Fire Department, Sophia Police, Beckley Fire Department, Bradley-Prosperity Fire Department, Beaver Fire Department for their help at the Children’s Miracle Network fundraiser at IHOP on International Pancake Day.

I want to thank Gov. Earl Tomlin for having representative Kimberly Gross to speak and Congressman Nick Rahall for sending a letter to be read. And there was even a mascot, Mike Epling from the Miners baseball.

I want to also thank Raleigh County Crisis Team, Patrick, Lacy and Richard, for their support. If I have left anyone out, I do apologize.

I commend each and every one of you for helping to make miracles happen when it comes to children. I know too well how important it is to know that they are our future and we need to know that when it comes to health and their well-being, that they have a network and a community standing with them.

It was well worth seeing the fire trucks and police officers. The children were handed hats, stickers from Beaver Fire Department.

I am so proud to be a part of a community where, when asked to be involved with the firefighters, they do not hesitate. I want to thank you with all my heart. When you see a firefighter, shake their hand and say thank you, because you never know when they may have to come to your home. Especially in the kind of weather that we have had this year.

This is a heartfelt thank you for being there at IHOP and for the children. Raleigh County Crisis Team thanks you all for making Children’s Miracle Network day a special one.
