God loves sinners but hates all our sins

This is in response to Christopher A. Burroughs of Cool Ridge. In his letter he asked, “Didn’t God say that everyone was loved the same and equal in his eyes?” Yes, Christopher, God loves everyone; that’s the reason He sent His Son Jesus to die for our sins. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

God loves the gay man and woman but He hates their sin. Leviticus 18:22 says, “Thou shall not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.”

1 Corinthians 6: 9-10 says: “Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.”

Another passage of Scripture I would ask you to read is Romans 1:18-32.

God has not changed his mind. The side of history that I’m on is God’s word that never changes because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes.
