God can melt coldest heart and set you free

When I read such pitiful letters as Mr. Bailey writes I sometimes feel they are a cry for help.

I understand that we should be allowed to follow whatever path we choose.

What I don’t understand, is why I’m not allowed to be a Christian without someone trying to tell me I’m stupidly believing something that is not true.

Mr. Bailey, if you wish to be an atheist and embrace what scientists say, then I feel sorry for you. Still, I will allow you to believe whatever you choose.

What science can’t explain they ignore or turn to the “Big Bang Theory.”

You see, we “Christians” have a whole book explaining what has happened and what will happen in the future. It’s called the Holy Bible. I for one am glad to have it in good times, bad times. It also says we will be persecuted by people like you.

Why can’t we just agree to disagree and follow the path set before us?

But I do have to tell you, Mr. Bailey, that I and other Christians, Jews, Muslims, etc., will pray for you that you be saved before it’s everlasting too late.

You see, God can melt the coldest heart and set you free, allowing you to live happily ever after forever as a Christian.

Check your phone bill before it’s too late

Please check all changes on your phone bill closely. I recently found $6.95 a month added to my bill on page 3. I did not authorize this charge.

I called Verizon and found out this charge had been on my bill for 10 months. Total $69.50. Although Verizon did credit my account, they said they cannot refuse these kinds of billings by law. I contacted the Attorney General’s Office on this matter. They along with phone company worked to credit my account.

Verizon and the Attorney General’s office said I was the only complaint thus far. Can I be the only customer Integrated Voice Service targeted on page 3 of my bill or did no one else look at their bill?

When I called Integrated Voice Service, the person I reached and I had lot of trouble communicating; foreign or terrorists organization, maybe. Please check your bill now and after Frontier starts operation.

Thankful veteran appreciates Beckley VA

Reading a letter recently in the newspaper was disgusting to say the least concerning the Beckley VA Hospital. Some folks would complain if they handed out gold at the door.

I’ve been in several hospitals; Beckley VA is No. 1. Through the years I have always been treated very professionally and with much respect.

Since I have Leukemia, my visits are sometimes daily. I am so thankful for Dr. Dave Chaitanyav and RNs Julia, Andrea and Leslie, also my good friend, John, who have always treated me, as well as the other patients, very professionally and with great respect.

The staff at Beckley VA Hospital is the very best.
