Drink responsibly, use a designated driver
With the upcoming presidential elections in the news, Mountain Eagle Distributing is encouraging southern West Virginia residents to get behind a different type of campaign — promoting the use of designated drivers. On Friday, Sept. 21, Mountain Eagle will be out in our community to promote responsible drinking as part of Global Be(er) Responsible Day.
To help drive home this important message, we will be hitting the streets reminding adults to be or use a designated driver and to get involved by taking the pledge to drink responsibly at www.nationofresponsibledrinkers.com.
For more than 30 years, Anheuser-Busch and its wholesalers have led our industry in promoting alcohol responsibility. Together, we’ve committed more than $930 million in national advertising campaigns and community-based programs to encourage responsible drinking and prevent underage drinking and drunk driving. Through a collective effort with retailers, law enforcement and many other partners, we’ve made great strides in reducing drunk driving and underage drinking.
But there’s more work to be done. On Sept. 21, we’re asking adults to join our effort. Show your friends you care by joining the nation of responsible drinkers and demonstrating the important role designated drivers play in enjoying the great times.
We’re committed to promoting responsible drinking today and into the future. It’s always been important to our company — and always will be. After all, these are our communities and it is our collective responsibility to keep them safe.

Leaders should lead all people same way
Where there is envy and strife there is confusion and very evil work — James 3:16.
The whole chapter of James 3 speaks about the tongue of what is said and the heart it comes from.
During this election year, this is what has been going on. Especially out of Republican representatives.
Jesus said a house divided cannot stand and kingdom against kingdom.
I’ve heard spoken that some say I deserve this and that. No one deserves anything. But do what is right to everyone and fear God.
Much I’ve heard from the so-called leaders and want-to-be leaders is what the world heard from Adolf Hitler and his followers.
The first commandment of our God is to hear, listen that the Lord our God is one Lord. And we are to love Him in obedience with all of our being and our neighbor as ourselves.
Pride does not love but hates, despises, lies, destroys those that are not like it is.
We are like a nation under one God not because we say it is but because he is the only one true and Holy God father of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We are to live holy and pleasurable with all men, without it no man shall see the Lord. Leaders are supposed to be leading all people the same way for all that is good for each and everyone.
