An article titled “Gunfire Kills Young Children Daily” from AP ran in the Christmas day edition. This article was not about the deranged individual who used a gun, or guns, to murder those school children and their teachers. It was about guns and the violence that can occur when in the hands of anyone who intends to do harm. These children should be mourned and everything possible should be done, as a society, to prevent further occurrences.
Webster’s Dictionary defines murder as the unlawful and malicious or premeditated killing of one human being by another. So I ask you which is the most danger to our children, a gun in the hands of a responsible sane adult, or a suctioning device in the hands of a licensed doctor who is being paid to take a life?
I must have heard at least a hundred times “How could God let this happen?” So we must ask ourselves, how can we ask God to bless and protect our selected children when we are butchering the unborn by the millions?
We as a nation have allowed 45 million innocent lives to be snuffed out by abortion clinics between 1973 and 2005 alone. These babies were not protected by a teacher, their little bodies were ripped apart and discarded. But some of us won’t eat meat because the animal might feel pain when it is butchered for food.
In Connecticut alone there are 47 legal abortion clinics where 17,030 abortions were performed in 2008, that’s a rate of 25 percent. One in four babies will never have a birthday or a Christmas. Why? Because they interfere with our lifestyle. These babies lives were taken by the ones that should have been their first line of defense, their parents, not some nut with a gun.
The article quoted several political leaders, President Obama and Daniel Webster. They said that the nation could not accept such violent deaths of our children as routine. Shouldn’t they think of this when they fanatically support the right of women to choose the death of their own child. That makes them hypocrites, and our nation also.
We have banned God from our schools and all public arenas, but we have the gall to ask Him “why” when we have been struck with tragedy. Wake up America and hug your children.
Psalm 9:17 says “The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.” Are you feeling the heat yet?

I am very pleased that lawmakers did not pass the stupid “fireworks” law. I think Daniel Hall, D-Wyoming, should be happy he did not push this and he might rethink his feelings on it for next year. The majority of citizens care more about the economy and a job to buy food, not stupid items like fireworks.
