Kindness for all and abuse for none

During the past several years many, if not most, parents have tried to make life easier in different ways for their children and grandchildren. Also, child abuse has been disallowed and legally prosecuted strongly. Logical thinking regards it to be right or children to be provided with necessary blessings, love, and kindness without going to extremes. But, needless to say, here has been a sharp and drastic reversal of the above stated attitudes about our children and grandchildren.

Some are so willing to severely punish and abuse our offspring by shoving onto their heads an unbearable and galling yoke of indebtedness. If we keep sowing the irresponsible seeds of deficit spending, our children and grandchildren will harvest a most unfair and bitterly abusing and crushing load of taxes to pay on their behalf.

This harvest could have drastic and devastating effects on our country even if it comes short of causing our form of government to perish from the earth.

In II Chronicles 7:14 we are admonished to humble ourselves, pray and seek God’s will and grace and also seek and accept Heaven’s forgiveness and healing for our land.

We all continually stand in need of the “Higher Power” (God’s divine power is higher than all other powers) with all of the sober thinking, wisdom, guidance and strength provided by this majestic and most honorable source.

I Timothy 2:1-2 admonishes us to pray for a special blessing of divine guidance and help for any and all individuals who have been elected or appointed to public office.

By seeking and applying the wisdom, ideas, and true values of Almighty God we can eliminate our problems and confusion at their deepest roots and build our physical economy on the solid foundation of God’s spiritual economy with its enduring standards, valise, and qualities. Please read Matthew 6:33.

Did you say global warming?

This has become so ridiculous that even those who push global warming are having to change the name. Have you noticed that it is now climate change?

Furthermore Dr. Howard Dean has stated that we who do not accept the global warming theory are not scientific, and we do not accept science.

Well listen to one of the great climate change scientists, Phil Jones. He has stated that there has been little if any significant warming since 1995. That is no warming in the last 15 years. This is no backwoods preacher; this is one of the great climate change scientists.

He also stated that there had been some cooling since 2002, and that there had been two other warming periods in the last 150 years.

Guess what? The Bible needs no corroboration from Mr. Jones or any other scientist, but he has just voluntarily given it. The Bible says, (Gen. 8:22) “While the earth remaineth, seed time and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.”

I have lived in Rupert for 10 years. This is the coldest winter I have experience since moving here 10 years ago. The words from the Bible, quoted above, indicate a cycle of seed time and harvest, cold and hot, day and night. According to Mr. Jones, that is what we have been experiencing in the last 150 years.
