Serious concerns about Democrats

As a retired Navy veteran and former Democrat, I have concerns about the state of the Democratic Party.

In the ’60s JFK was the embodiment of the Democrats. The party left me during the Carter administration. I did not leave the party; it left me. All that I see out of sitting senators and members of Congress is sign our petition to save “fill in the blank.” Usually about Social Security. A program started by FDR and robbed by LBJ.

Oh and let us not forget, taxed by Bill Clinton. And our sitting Sen. Jay Rockefeller and Congressman Rahall want help to fight the EPA? How long have they been in office and are now only “asking” for help? About a quarter century too late?

And you want me to vote Democratic? The party that founded the KKK and wrote the Jim Crow laws? No thank you.
