Quit stealing from Social Security

A few days ago I read in the paper that they were either suggesting or considering raising taxes. I don’t think that will do it, but I have a suggestion — just quit stealing from Social Security.

Traffic situation on Highway 19 still bad

“Where Are They? ...Part 2”

Last month I put in an article titled “Where are they?,” referring to the police on Highway 19 controlling the speeders and reckless drivers. Especially at the two work sites, Glen Jean and Mt. Hope.

Three days after my article was printed I was rear ended in Bradley in the very area I complained cars would speed trying to beat traffic to the traffic cones to be the first through, cutting back into traffic making other cars to lock up their brakes.

Thursday, July 26, I was driving  back from Beckley, I came to the same thing in Bradley again, but I was ready this time. There were four other cars that were not.

Just this month I saw in the paper the hiring of six more troopers. What are they doing with them and what will it take for them to do their job — a worker to get hit or someone to die?

I have nothing against the police force. I would like peace of mind that when I leave home I’ll make it back.
