Thanks to neighbors for plowing snow
Just want to say much thanks to our neighbors on Cedar Road, Crab Orchard. They are Allen Moye Sr., Jimmy Meadows Jr., Donnie Bailey and others. They constantly braved the snow and cold in the early hours of the morning and through the late night hours to keep our driveways and road completely clear of snow.
These are truly neighbors indeed. Many thanks and appreciation on behalf of all the neighbors and friends of yours on Cedar Road.
You are truly a blessing.

Leave our land free for recreational uses
If people in the community didn’t lease the land, bear hunting clubs, not from our community, were going to lease the land.
One of the rules for leasing the land is to install gates where there is access into the leased land.
I agree to joining ranks and letting them know how we feel. I will be the first to fight against leasing land we have always roamed for generations.
My husband grew up enjoying the mountains. How can he do this? Join hunting clubs, for our family to hunt and enjoy.
It’s not about hunting. I do not hunt. I ride four-wheelers and pick ginseng. I have to join hunting clubs for my recreation. I don’t agree, but if I’m not a hunter, I don’t expect someone to lease property and I use the property for recreation we need to play.
Nothing is wrong with passing through leased property to get to non-leased property. Ask the person who leased the property for permission.
Why get mad at your neighbors for leasing land they are forced to do for their personal recreation?
People are paying hunting club fees so they can enjoy the mountains; this is not what they want, but forced to do by the companies.
If I must pay to join hunting clubs for my enjoyment, others should have to; it is not just hunting it is for recreation also.
It is what land companies have done to us. I guess everyone will have to pay up if they want any enjoyment in the mountains.
Yes our hollow is a hunting club; who is at fault?
If anyone can find a way around hunting clubs let me know.
I personally do not like paying out money. Put the blame where it needs to be. We have a nice community; leave it that way.
