More should resign in WVU degree debacle

Use a ruler or follow your nose and one will probably end up at the same place in the Bresch (Manchin) MBA degree affair at WVU. Garrison, Bresch, and (sic) Governor Manchin are all somehow connected in this sordid event which is staining the reputation of the university and the state.

I was just listening to a Manchin commercial and would like to suggest one more line — i.e. 2,500 new jobs created, reduced the food tax by 1 percent and gave my daughter an MBA degree.

More resignations than the university president are needed.

How do the deadbeat dads get away with it?

I am a woman who lives in Sophia and I am having the same problem with Child Support Enforcement as the woman that wrote the article on May 4.

Since January 2007, it has been hard for me to collect child support from my ex-husband. He was court ordered to pay $422 a month and maybe for one or two months he paid that amount. The rest of the months, he pays whatever he wants to. He is over $3,500 behind on his child support.

I have called over a hundred times to my caseworkers and I get nowhere with them. They tell me that there is nothing that they can do until my divorce is final. Why is that when he is still going to have to pay child support by court order? They tell me that I cannot have two court cases in the court system at once. Therefore, I asked them is it not the state law if they do not pay the state revokes their drivers licenses? Their response to that is, that it is the last resort and we will have to take it court. So what’s the problem?

I do not understand why deadbeat men can get away with it. My ex-husband has a 2007 Ford Mustang GT, just bought a new mobile home and built a two-car garage. This month, he bought a new TV with DVD player and he claims he only makes $8 per hour working for his brother’s construction company. Does anyone else see something wrong with this picture?

We went to court in April and his child support was reduced to $274. I told the child support people about this and nothing is done. So tell me, who is Child Support Enforcement really helping?

So where is the help? Is there any for the woman and child or is it just for the men? Maybe they need to change their name if they are not going to help a woman with a child.
