Workers’ comp should cover firefighters

I think workers’ comp should cover volunteer firefighters as they give their time to keep us from losing so much. Think about it now, if you had to pay them and what it would cost. And think about how many of you would give your time to help others.

You just don’t know until you have to call one in the wee hours in the morning in 10 degree weather either for an auto accident, an elderly person falling or your house on fire.

Get real — cover these guys and gals!

Americans must not be so smart after all

Many people consider Americans among the smartest people in the world. Then can someone tell me why they are buying $40K+ pickup trucks and the big gas-guzzler SUVs that get 10 MPG or less?

While we are discussing how smart we are, why do we let an administration stay in office that lied to us about Iraq’s WMD and launched a war that has nearly bankrupted the nation and cost countless people their lives, including over 4,000 Americans?

An administration who holds secret meetings on energy and oil prices started their climb and have not seen the top yet. That is above the law and seemingly has a few judges in their pockets because they refuse to disclose participants and agenda of those meetings.

It just seems odd that the last president was impeached on charges of having oral sex.
