CHILLICOTHE, Ohio —
The Chillicothe Paints scored two runs in the first inning off Quinton Yocom and made them hold up in a 3-0 win over the West Virginia Miners on Sunday.
The teams split the series and the Paints claimed first place in the Prospect League’s East Division.
Mike Brosseau, Zach Woolcock and Rob Youngblood all hit doubles for the Miners (5-5).
West Virginia returns home today for a two-game series with the Champion City Kings. Seth Noreman will start for the Miners. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.
It will be FCA Monday, with $1 donated to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes for every ticket purchased.
On Tuesday, all area softball players who made all-state (first and second team, special mention and honorable mention) will be admitted free and be recognized on the field.
