— On Tuesday afternoon, former West Virginia University basketball stars Devin Ebanks and Kevin Jones faced off on opposite sides of the court as the Texas Legends met the Canton Charge in Day 2 of the NBA D-League Showcase in Reno, Nev.

The game was close through three quarters, but a team-high 27 points from Ebanks wasn’t enough to carry the Legends to victory as the Charge pulled away for a 112-94 win. Jones had 16 points and 5 rebounds in a little more than 20 minutes on the court.

Ebanks has elevated his game in the past several weeks and currently ranks as one of the top overall NBDL prospects. Through 15 games this season, he is averaging 24.5 points and 9.7 rebounds per game.

Jones is putting together a solid campaign in his second season with the Canton Charge. Thus far, he has averages of 16.4 points and 7.9 rebounds per contest.

Overseas, Da’Sean Butler, John Flowers and Truck Bryant are emerging stars in their respective leagues, with all being up for different weekly and monthly awards.

Butler was named as a Top Performer last week in Belgium for Okapi Aalstar after posting 22 points and 7 rebounds in a win over Antwerp. On the season, he averages 15.4 points and 5.3 rebounds per game.

Flowers is in the running for Player of the Month in the French Pro-B League. He leads JL Bourg in scoring at 14.2 points per game.

Bryant leads the Furstenfeld Panthers in Austria at just over 20 points per game. He is on pace to get voted into the Austrian A-League Bundesliga All-Star Game.

Alex Ruoff has led BG Goettingen to the top spot in the league with a 13-3 record at 18.1 points per game.

Deniz Kilicli is coming along in his rookie season with Andolu Efes in Istanbul, Turkey. He has played in 12 games averaging 6.6 minutes and almost 3 points per game.

Casey Mitchell and Elizur Ashkelon in Israel are enjoying their winter break. On Christmas Eve, Mitchell led the team with 27 points. He averages 18.6 points per game.

Marcus Goree is averaging 14 points and 5.9 rebounds per game for Brasilia in Brazil.

Dee Proby is second on his Argentinian team in scoring at 13.2 points per contest.

D'or Fischer signed with Brose Baskets in Bamburg, Germany after getting cut by the Washington Wizards during the preseason. He is beginning to acclimate himself well to his new club, and in six appearances averages 11 points and 5.8 rebounds.

In 10 games with Dongbu Promy in South Korea, Chris Moss averages 11.1 points and 7.5 rebounds per game.
