There’s a phrase that brings joy to the face of fans of America’s pastime, from sea to shining sea – “free baseball.”
That will be the exactly the case tomorrow at Linda K. Epling Stadium when the West Virginia Miners take on the Chillicothe Paints in a doubleheader.
Due to the rainout on Tuesday, the Miners have announced they will honor the “Two for Tuesday” special for tonight’s games. Fans may purchase one ticket and get another ticket free. Even better, fans that purchase tickets for the first game can stay for the second game free of charge.
First pitch will be thrown at 4:35 p.m. for game one, with the second game scheduled to start at 7:05 p.m.
West Virginia (9-9) returns home following a short road trip to Richmond over the weekend, which saw the Miners pick up a victory on Saturday 9-0, before losing a heartbreaker 9-8 on Sunday.
After losing 5 of their first 7, the Miners have won 6 of their last 10 and sit just two games behind Chillicothe and Butler for first place in the Prospect League East Division.
The Miners will hit the road tomorrow for a series against Slippery Rock before traveling to take on Butler.
