BECKLEY — The Beckley Police Department is searching for a total of five men involved in two different shootings.

Three individuals are wanted and at large for the first degree murder of Shawn Rucker. Detective Jeff Shumate says Alfred Pittman, 23, Cornealus “Ty” Taylor, 20, and Dewayne Lane, 22, are wanted for the first degree murder of Shawn Rucker, who died as a result of a shooting during a home invasion in Beckley on Sept. 26. Shumate says there is a possibility one or more of the men have left the area, but asks community members with information about their whereabouts to call the Beckley Police Department at 304-256-1720 or Crime Stoppers at 304-255-STOP.

There are also two men wanted for the shooting that occurred at Hager Street late Wednesday night. The Beckley Police Department is looking Davin Thornton, 22, and a 17-year-old male juvenile. Shumate said police think the two were arguing about the Rucker murder when shots were fired and one bystander was wounded. The individual shot Wednesday is in stable condition at an area hospital, Shumate said.

Anyone with information on the location of Davin Thornton or the juvenile involved are also asked to call the Beckley Police Department at 304-256-1720 or Crime Stoppers at 304-255-STOP.
