All three suspects sought in the Sept. 26 murder of Shawn Rucker are in police custody.
Beckley Police Detective M. Bragg confirmed that Alfred Pittman was arrested at a Charleston hospital Thursday around 7 p.m.
Pittman was arraigned by a Charleston magistrate, then brought to Southern Regional Jail by BPD.
A second suspect, Corneallus “Ty” Taylor, 20, turned himself in at the Beckley Police Department around midnight.
Detective Jeff Shumate said he also is being held at SRJ.
Bond has not been set for either suspect.
Although Shumate said police had spoken with the third suspect’s family and they expected Dewayne Lane, 22, to turn himself in, Lane was arrested at 3 p.m. Friday afternoon in Bluefield.
Authorities received an anonymous tip and Lane was picked up without incident on Ohio Street, said Sgt. D.W. Miller of the West Virginia State Police detachment near Princeton. Miller made the arrest along with Sgt. C.K. McKenzie.
Lane is awaiting arraignment in Mercer County before he is transferred back to Raleigh County, Miller said.
