Cranberry-Prosperity Elementary School hosted the “Drug Free All-Stars” basketball team Friday. The event brings a great message to the students about staying clear of peer pressure and educate the youngsters on the dangers of using drugs of all kinds.
The team scrimmaged against members of the Central Office for Raleigh County Schools.
In addition to a mini-lesson, they played some practical jokes with the students as well as the staff and faculty. Along with the power of being positive, the All-Stars promote respect, spirituality, confidence, dedication, volunteering and courage. Established in 2005, the team has reached thousands of students in hundreds of schools and gyms.
