BECKLEY — Chili Night has kept the spice in one young couple’s relationship over the past six years.

Estevan and Ashley Crouch Sanchez tied the knot Saturday in Beckley and celebrated at Chili Night, the site of their first date.

And the Uptown Beckley festival has been a constant in their lives through thick and thin.

The two broke up at Chili Night on their one-year anniversary, but after getting back together, they have made Chili Night a part of their anniversary ritual.

Ashley explained that the couple canceled their formal ceremony Saturday and instead got married at Raleigh General Hospital where her grandmother could take part.

“We recently got saved. Without God none of this could have happened. We might not have even stayed together without Him,” Estevan shared.

The two aren’t going on a honeymoon but expected Chili Night to give them a chance to visit with friends and see loved ones.

Chili Night is expected to continue to keep the heat in their relationship for years to come.
