BECKLEY —
Calling all restaurants, catering groups, nonrestaurant businesses, schools and individuals: Do you have a soup recipe that has what it takes to compete in the second annual ‘Souper’ Spring Fever on April 21 from 4 to 7 p.m. in Uptown Beckley?
If so, consider preparing and donating at least 5 gallons of soup to serve and be one of the 30 soup vendors competing.
Trophies will be presented to the top three competitors in each of the following categories: Judges Choice, People’s Choice and Best Booth.
Twenty nonsoup vendors will also be accepted.
Because of limited space, the first vendors who register will be chosen for the event.
To receive an event registration form, call 304-256-1776.
All soup competitors must register also with the Health Department. To obtain a food handling permit; register for health classes at 304-252-8531.
