Sunday setting up for another dramatic finish

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS — Sunday at the Greenbrier Classic is becoming known for dramatic finishes.

This year’s final round is looking to follow in the footsteps of the first four events at the Old White TPC.

With the leaders just five holes into play, there have been two aces, one player flirting with a 60 and plenty of happy fans on the par-3 18th.

George McNeill and Angel Cabrera have taken the lead from third-round leader Billy Hurley III.

McNeill birdied Nos. 4-7 then aced the par-3 8th to skyrocket up the leaderboard.

He fired a six-under 28 on the front nine and has since birdied No. 10, but missed an opportunity at the par-5 12th. He’s currently 12-under thru 15 holes today.

Cabrera has two birdies to move to 12-under par thru 5 holes.

Hurley III had a great start with a birdie on his first hole, but followed it with back-to-back bogeys. He dropped another shot on the par-4 5th and is now 10-under.

Hurley III is currently tied for third with Webb Simpson.

Simpson has today’s best round so far at a seven-under 63.

Bud Cauley had the day’s other ace.

Not only did it help him jump into a fifth place tie at nine-under, but gave the fans in the stands on No. 18 a $100 cash each.
