Etheridge to perform at Clay Center

CHARLESTON — Rock icon Melissa Etheridge will take the Clay Center stage at 7:30 p.m. April 17. Sing along to her biggest hits and hear new music as she plays acoustic guitar, electric guitar, harmonica and piano at a stop on her “This is ME Solo” tour.

Bold, confessional lyrics and a solid pop-rock style define this all-American singer-songwriter who pushed musical boundaries in the early ’90s with hits like “Come to My Window” and “I’m the Only One.” Experience the same cutting-edge sound in tracks from her latest album, “4th Street Feeling,” and her upcoming release, “This is ME.”

Sales for Clay Center Presents Spring 2014 season ticket holders are under way and Clay Center members and donors with performance benefits can purchase tickets from 10 a.m. Monday through 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Tickets are $45, $65, $75 and $89 and can be purchased online at www.theclaycenter.org, in person at the Clay Center box office or by phone at 304-561-3570.
