Quota members help update Storm Haven women’s residence

— The members of Quota International of Beckley were recently treated to a luncheon at Storm Haven women’s residence as a thank you for updates to the facilities dining and living rooms.

Quota is a service organization whose focus is primarily (but not entirely) on underprivileged women and children and speech and hearing impaired children.  Members work throughout the year raising funds and reaching out to those in need in the community.

Quotarians hosted a fundraiser/auction in March for the Storm Haven service project to raise the funds to purchase new dining room table/chairs, area rugs, shades and window treatments for the dining/living rooms as well as new porch furniture.

Members donated placemats, dishes, silverware and cleaning supplies and Reedy Construction donated paint and labor to paint the two rooms. Remaining money is being used to purchase other needed items for the home.

Individuals interested in more information about Quota are encouraged to contact President Pam Vance at 304-573-1538 or any Quota member.
