W.Va. Symphony shows continue


— The West Virginia Symphony Orchestra’s 2012-2013 Capitol Conference Center Symphonic Series continues Friday and Saturday with performances of Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 21 in C and Bruckner’s Symphony No. 8 in C minor.

This special concert is the first of The Mary Price Ratrie Legacy Concert and features pianist Alexandre Moutouzkine of Astral Artists. Performances will take place at 8 p.m. in the Maier Foundation Performance Hall at the Clay Center for the Arts & Sciences of West Virginia.

Prior to the performance Maestro Grant Cooper will host Preludes, a conversation on the evening’s music, at 7 p.m.
