Pet rescue event planned in Ronceverte

— Pets provide unconditional love and reverent loyalty that is rarely imitated. Regrettably, not every pet is lucky enough to find a forever home and offer such allegiance. Many pets are abandoned, abused or otherwise surrendered by the families that can no longer care for them.

Rescue organizations strive to find new, loving homes for these pets so they can once again become a member of a caring family.

NWAL Herding Dog Rescue Inc., an ambassador for the Purina® Pro Plan® Rally to Rescue® program, is hosting, along with other organizations, an adoption/fundraising and awareness event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 18 at Tractor Supply in Ronceverte to raise awareness and funds for pet rescue and help local homeless dogs and cats find permanent homes.
