Main Street White Sulphur Springs will host its first annual Wild Game Cook-off Nov. 2. The organization invites Greenbrier Valley and area residents to come and compete with their best wild game recipes.
The cook-off will take place at 50 East from 1 to 5 p.m. The contestant with the best recipe will take home a new firearm in time for hunting season.
The Half Bad Bluegrass Band will provide the afternoon’s entertainment and several area vendors will be set up throughout the afternoon. The event is open to the public. Cost is $15 at the door, which gains access to the event, samples from all of the contestants’ recipes, drink tickets and admission to the concert.
All proceeds from the event will fund Main Street’s several community service projects throughout the next year.
