New River CTC to offer 76 online classes this summer

Seventy-six classes in 21 fields of study are being offered online during the 10-week summer term that begins May 20 at New River Community and Technical College. A number of classes also will be taught in the traditional classroom setting.

Summer classes present an opportunity for New River students to catch up or jump ahead in their degree programs. Summer classes can also benefit newly admitted 2013 high school graduates by letting them begin their college careers early. Students home for the summer from other colleges often take summer classes which can transfer from New River to their home colleges.

Among the online classes available are Introduction to Anatomy and Physiology, with lab; General Biology, with lab; and Introduction to Chemistry.

Online English courses include Composition, Research and Technical Writing. Courses in business, mathematics, criminal justice, administrative office technology, medical assisting, fine arts and more also will be available online.

A complete schedule of summer classes can be found on the New River website, Click on Current Students/Course Schedules. A copy of the schedule is also available at each campus location.
