Thumbs up ... to Lewisburg resident Rich Rosendale, former executive chef and director of food and beverage at The Greenbrier. Rosendale will host “Recipe Rehab” on TV with Evette Rios. The show takes a high-calorie family favorite recipe and recreates it into a healthier, lower-calorie version.

Thumbs up ... to Beckley being designated a “Storm Ready” community by the National Weather Service, a designation that only one other city in the state, Logan, has achieved. Necessary checkpoints for a city to get the nod include having a 24-hour warning point with people who know what to do with emergency information.
