Salute our veterans

—

As Americans, we enjoy many rights and liberties.

Today, we honor the men and women who have served in our military ranks, providing us the way of life that we enjoy here in the United States.

Veterans Day is one of the most important dates that our country recognizes, because of the significance of those it honors.

We have many options as citizens of this country, because of our veterans’ service.

For example, last Tuesday, we had the privilege of casting a ballot on Election Day.

Today, we have the option of going to church and freely worshipping.

Next week, we are able to own a firearm and enjoy deer hunting season.

There are dozens of other daily activities we participate in throughout the year, because of the freedom we enjoy.

We must not take it for granted.

In fact, our veterans are the ones who have made all of our other national holidays possible.

Think about it.

There would be no Independence Day without them.

They served.

They sacrificed.

Their patriotism and love of country paved the way for us and future generations of Americans.

If you have the opportunity, take time to thank a veteran today, or sometime soon.

Today, we humbly salute them all, especially those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
