The Mountaineers are going bowl-ing.
West Virginia University will face former Big East foe Syracuse in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl on Dec. 29.
Here's the press release from the Big 12:
The Big 12 Conference has announced its 2012 bowl matchups. The Big 12 is the only league in which 90 percent of its membership will participate in bowls, and one of just two conferences with nine bowl teams. The 90 percent bowl-eligibility mark is the highest in college football history.
