Individual scores were higher in the second round than in the first at the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships.
But Concord was able to add to its lead in the race for a team championship.
With four individuals in the top 10, the Mountain Lions take a five-stroke lead into the tournament’s final round today on the Cobb Course at The Resort at Glade Springs.
Stefan Labuschagne is in second place with a two-day 146, four shots behind leader John Carbone of Charleston. Nathaniel Begley, an Oak Hill High graduate, is fifth at 149, Wyoming East alumnus Evan Muscari tied for eighth at 151 and Sebastian Straud tied for 10th at 152.
Charleston is in second in the team standings with a 602. Third is Davis & Elkins (614), followed by defending champion Bluefield State (620) and West Liberty (631).
The final round will start at 8 a.m. today.
