MORGANTOWN — Redshirt sophomore Harrison Musgrave of the West Virginia University baseball team has been named a finalist for the College Baseball Hall of Fame Pitcher of the Year Award.
Musgrave is one of 22 players on the list and joins Oklahoma’s Jonathan Gray as the lone Big 12 representatives.
For the season, Musgrave is 8-1 with a 2.14 ERA in 13 starts with three complete games, three shutouts and 76 strikeouts. He is currently riding a seven-game winning streak and has yet to lose in Big 12 play, posting a 5-0 record. In conference play, he has a 1.02 ERA, striking out 61 in 53.0 innings and has allowed just six earned runs. In the conference only rankings, he is first in wins (5), opponent batting average (.145), shutouts (3) and complete games (3), while ranking second in ERA (1.02), innings pitched (53.0) and strikeouts (61).
