Entrepreneurs’ Café set for Tuesday at McBee’s

Raleigh County will celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week by hosting the second New River Gorge Entrepreneurs’ Café at McBee’s Irish Pub and Restaurant in uptown Beckley Tuesday starting at 6 p.m.

The goal of the NRG Entrepreneurs’ Café is to provide a forum for local entrepreneurs to build a sense of community, increase their exposure and address their funding needs for projects.

Cost to attend is $20, and the majority of that amount is given to support a local project.

During dinner, businessman Dan Bickey, owner of Mine Power Systems Inc., will officially welcome everyone at 6:30 p.m. Then, beginning at 6:50 p.m., five entrepreneurs seeking financial support will take turns presenting their projects, and at 7:40 p.m., everyone who purchased a meal gets to vote for a favorite project. At 7:50 p.m., the project that receives the most votes receives a micro award to support its development.
