Raleigh General has new chief financial officer


BECKLEY — Randy Harrison, FACHE, is the new chief financial officer at Ra-leigh General Hospital.

Harrison has more than 30 years of experience in financial management and operations in the health care field. In the 10 years before joining Raleigh General, he served as interim CFO for more than 10 different hospitals in the Lifepoint family, as well as 20 other non-affiliated facilities. He also spent 20 years with Hospital Corporation of America.

Harrison brings a strong understanding of operations in a multi-facility setting. His background has enabled him to fully support hospital operations, including strategic planning, corporate compliance, cost management, revenue growth, standardization and infrastructure development.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Management from the Medical College of Virginia and a Master of Business Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University.

He is a member of many professional and civic organizations, including the American College of Health Care Executives, the Healthcare Financial Management Association, United Way and the Red Cross. As such, he has proved himself an able ambassador for the organizations he has served.
