Regina G. Goldwire, RN, MSN, was one of seven nurses from across the nation selected to a volunteer item writer panel of judges for the National Council of State Boards of Nursing Licensure Examination held April 29-May 2 in Chicago.

NCSBN is responsible for developing and administering the NCLEX-RN® and NCLEX-PN® licensing exams.

Goldwire, a recent nurse practitioner graduate of Tennessee State University, was nominated on the basis of clinical specialty and nursing expertise.

All nurses in the United States and its four U.S. territories must take the NCLEX®. The licensing exam identifies those candidates who demonstrate minimal competence to practice nursing at the entry level. Passing the NCLEXË exam is one of the requirements necessary for attaining a nursing license.

Tina M. Ayers has been promoted to mortgage loan officer at the Beckley Banking Center of MCNB Bank and Trust Co., 85 Jerome Van Meter Drive.

Ayers has a total 18 years of banking experience and began working at MCNB in 2008

She is a 2002 graduate of Concord University, earning a BS degree in business with a major. She and husband Charles M. Ayers reside in Beckley.

Robb Williams has been named as the chief executive officer of HealthSouth Southern Hills Rehabilitation Hospital. Williams started his new position on Feb. 25, but had served as interim CEO since Jan. 5. Prior to serving as CEO, Williams served as the hospital’s chief nursing officer.

Williams oversees all of the hospital’s day-to-day operations, as well as patient quality and care. He received a master’s degree in business administration with a health care specialization from Ashford University, a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership from Mountain State University and an associate degree in nursing from Bluefield State College.

Prior to his time at HealthSouth, Williams served as the hospital assistant administrator and clinic administrator at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital Healthcare.
