The West Virginia Housing Development Fund has opened a field office in Beckley to better serve southern West Virginia. The office is located just off Robert C. Byrd Drive, at the corner of Pinewood Drive and Morning Star Lane.
“Southern West Virginia is growing in a number of different ways for a variety of positive economic reasons, and we want to be a part of that,” said Erica Boggess, the fund’s acting executive director. “This office will be a resource for anyone who wants to utilize one of our mortgage products, invest in multi-family housing or just learn more about the fund and what we do.”
David Rinehart, the fund’s southern West Virginia area manager, will use the office as his home base to help further the fund’s mission across his territory. Rinehart will represent the fund in Boone, Cabell, Clay, Fayette, Jackson, Kanawha, Lincoln, Logan, Mason, McDowell, Mercer, Mingo, Monroe, Putnam, Raleigh, Summers, Wayne and Wyoming counties.
“I’m excited about our new office and getting the chance to better assist our partners across this area of the state,” Rinehart said. “I’ve lived in Beckley for most of my life and I’m proud to call West Virginia home. I raised my kids here and I want to see this community continue to move in the right direction.”
Rinehart is a Raleigh County native who has worked for a number of years in the mortgage finance and lending industries.
“This new office gives us a chance to be close by,” Rinehart said. “If you want to talk face-to-face with someone from the fund, this will give you an opportunity to do just that.”
In addition its main office in Charleston, the fund also has field offices in Clarksburg and Martinsburg.
“Different areas of our state have different needs. Field offices give us a chance to be responsive to those needs and better serve not only our customers and clients, but having staff work directly with the community helps us better understand what we need to do to move forward,” Boggess said.
