With the economy still slumping and the Christmas season getting closer, many people are looking for ways to earn extra cash.
They’re also looking for deals and clearing out clutter.
Bob Frost, manager of the Prosperity Flea Market, said the flea market is helping residents with all three goals.
“I know a lot of people, the way the economy is now, are looking for some spare or extra money,” he said. “If you’re wanting to clean out your garage, basement, clean it out and come on down.
“People have had really good luck making some money.”
Located at the Prosperity dip in the old Little Valley RV property, the flea market is open year-round on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 4 p .m.
Frost has recently added an “indoor edition” of the flea market.
“I have it going on outside and inside,” he said.
Those who want to get involved may come down and talk to Frost in his office inside the building, he said.
“I’ll be glad to show them the booths I have inside and spaces I have on the outside,” he said. “I have different-sized booths on the inside.”
Those looking to get deals will see tools, primitives, toys, figurines and many other offerings, said Frost.
“It just about covers it, from A to Z,” he said. “You’ll never know what you’ll see.”
With sunny weather through the end of this month, Frost said he expects the flea markets to stay busy with various vendors over the next couple of weeks.
