‘Mayhem OD’ show promo party is a big hit

West Virginia natives and lifelong hunting enthusiasts were on-site Saturday at Crossroads Chevrolet to promote their new show, “Mayhem OD,” and offer one lucky winner a chance to go on a wild hog chase.

Stars of the show, Richard Stephenson, 33, of Summersville, Jason Lanham, 36, also of Summersville, and Eric Boothe, 19, of Beckley, were hanging out at Crossroads Chevy, talking television and wild game.

“We hunt all over the U.S., but we specialize in whitetail deer. This has been a lifelong dream and we started filming three years ago,” Stephenson said.

He said filming has been a blast and it’s exciting to see his crew on television. They’re even starting to be recognized out in public, Stephenson said, especially in sporting goods stores.

As for any big kills or exciting hunts, Stephenson said you’ll just have to watch and see, but he said his crew tries to have fun on every single hunt.

Not only is this an exciting venture for Stephenson, Lanham and Boothe, but also an exciting opportunity for West Virginia.

Some of the show is filmed in their home state and Stephenson said he hopes “it will give West Virginia a good look.”

Kenny Payne, director of operations at Crossroads Chevy, described the show as a “down-to-Earth hunting show.”

“It’s a very good show. I think it will really catch on.”

Crossroads Chevrolet is a sponsor of Mayhem OD and the dealership offered one lucky winner who test drove an automobile Saturday the chance to go on a televised hog hunt with the Mayhem OD crew.

To watch the show, check out DirecTV channel 604 or Dish Network channel 393 on the Pursuit Channel,

at 11 a.m. Tuesdays, at 1 a.m. Wednesdays and at 4:30 p.m. Sundays.
