BECKLEY —
Specializing in gourmet sandwiches, soups and freshly made daily entrees and desserts, Dobra Zupas is now open for business in Beckley.
Owners Rebecca and Joe Zupanick said that since the grand opening in early December, business has been great and is increasing daily.
“We have wanted to own a small business for quite some time and the opportunity came along in early spring last year,” Rebecca Zupanick said.
The unique name of the restaurant, Dobra Zupas, loosely translates into “good soup” and is also a play on their last name, Zupanick.
She says their prices make for an affordable lunch and they cater events from blue jeans to black tie.
Currently one hostess, Noelle Lambert, and one chef, Elizabeth Baker, are employed at Zupas. Baker says that her favorite item on the menu is tiramisu, while Zupanick says hers is the artichoke melt.
“We strive to provide a great dining experience in a relaxed atmosphere,” Zupanick said. “Our food is made daily with the freshest ingredients available and our menu is always changing. We can offer something for everyone.”
Store hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Catering events are held on weekends.
Dobra Zupas is located at 105 Third Ave. For information, catering or carry-out, call 304-253-ZUPA (9872).
