BECKLEY — Vaught Inc., a Beckey-based health care consulting firm, has been recognized by Inc. Magazine as one of the fastest-growing companies in the nation.

The company, which was started in 2008, boasts a three-year growth rate of 176 percent and a 200 percent increase in staff.

Each year, Inc. Magazine releases 500|5000, a ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies.

Vaught Inc. ranked 1,653 out of 5,000 companies nationwide, 129 out of 378 in the nationwide health care category, and one of three in West Virginia.

“This national recognition is proof positive of our team’s incredible talent and relentless drive to produce innovative and meaningful solutions to issues facing the health care industry,” CEO Christopher R. Vaught said. “I couldn’t be more proud of this team.”

The company started with seven employees and has now grown to over 60.

Director of Business Development and Client Services Daniel Keaton said if one of their clients has a problem, Vaught Inc. finds a solution and builds a business around that.

Vaught Inc. products and services include NightWatch, DayBreak, MedMatrix Solutions, V23 LLC., Element MDS, Hospice Rx Network, Indigo Health and DreamTable.

As an example, NightWatch provides after-hours remote pharmacy services for hospitals, helping ensure that patients receive the same level of medication safely at 2 a.m. as they receive at 2 p.m. The service is customized for each individual hospital’s needs and interfaces with any existing software, protocols and processes.

“We innovate every day,” Keaton said. “We’re very proud to be creating jobs and good positions in Beckley.”
