BECKLEY — Representatives from PREIT and Crossroads Mall have announced that a lease with PetSmart has been signed. The retailer will occupy 12,000 square feet in the mall. Construction will begin this month and PetSmart will celebrate its grand opening in late spring 2010.
PetSmart Inc. (PETM) is the largest specialty retailer of services and solutions for the lifetime needs of a pet. The company operates more than 1,145 pet stores in the United States and Canada, more than 156 in-store PetsHotels cat and dog boarding facilities and Doggie Day Camps, and is a leading online provider of pet supplies and pet care information.
PetSmart provides a broad range of competitively priced pet food and pet supplies; offers complete pet training, pet grooming and pet adoption services.
“We are very excited to have PetSmart join our retailers at Crossroads Mall,” said Kathy Housh, general manager for Crossroads Mall.
“It is always our goal to bring quality retailers into the area to fit the needs and desires of our community. We are quite certain PetSmart will prove to be a great success here and look forward to their grand opening next spring.”
