Hinton man joins NRGRDA Board

Jack David Woodrum of Hinton will join the NRGRDA Board of Directors effective immediately.

Authority Board President Matt Wender said, “I have known Jack for several years. He is always an active participant in those organizations he commits to. I welcome him and know he will be a strong addition to a very capable NRGRDA Board we have the good fortune to be part of.”

Woodrum, a member of the Summers County Commission, also serves as a real estate sales associate with James S. Kerr Real Estate of Hinton, which offers real estate services in Summers and surrounding counties.

Previously, he was vice president of Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Inc. in Hinton, retiring in February 2011 with over 25 years in funeral service as a licensed funeral director.

Woodrum has an extensive record of public service, including past service with the Region One Workforce Development Board; the Reaching the Summit Community Service Initiative (CCCWV); the New River Parkway Authority; the West Virginia State Water Festival; the Community Action of Southeastern WV (CASE); Catholic Charities of West Virginia and the Summers County Building Commission.

NRGRDA Executive Director Chad Wykle joined Wender in welcoming Woodrum to the Board of Directors.

“Commissioner Woodrum brings with him a deep commitment to both community and economic development in this region of West Virginia. He will be both an asset and a key ally to our organization moving forward.”

Commissioner Woodrum is a graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science and the Tyree School of Real Estate. He is the husband of Debbie Brookman Woodrum and has three children; Jaxson, Jacob and Kara and is a member of the Friendship Baptist Church of Forest Hill.
