Tamarack OK’d to seek license for micro-brews

(Continued)

  • Awarded the contract for paving the parking lot at Tamarack to West Virginia Paving at a cost of $727,055.60, plus 10 percent for contingencies. The parking lot was last paved 18 years ago. West Virginia Paving was the lone bidder on the contract.
  • Awarded the contract for culvert retrofitting and cleaning to Teays River Construction at Institute. Teays River outbid three other companies for the contract with its $891,000 submission.
  • Awarded the contract for janitorial services to West Virginia Association of Rehabilitation Facilities at a cost of $307,000. The bid reflects the state’s minimum wage increase, and may have to have change orders once the actual cost of the Affordable Care Act is known, Barr said.

The Parkways Authority meets next month at its Charleston location on July 10.
